HAMi, officially known as Heterogeneous AI Computing Virtualization Middleware, is an open-source heterogeneous computing management tool jointly developed by 4Paradigm and RiseUnion. It supports the sharing and flexible allocation of GPU resources, achieving hard isolation and precise scheduling of computing resources. Additionally, HAMi features task priority management, flexible scheduling strategies, and comprehensive resource monitoring capabilities, significantly enhancing the utilization of computing resources and the efficiency of executing computational tasks. Rise VAST is the enterprise edition of HAMi, developed collaboratively on the basis of the open-source version.
Currently, HAMi has become the most popular sandbox project in the GPU virtualization and pooling field within CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation), demonstrating its enormous potential in the cloud-native ecosystem.
